COVID-19 Updates

Community College of Denver is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and community. Here is where you can find the latest updates and policies related to COVID-19 and our College.

What to do if you're not feeling well?

If you are not feeling well, do not come to campus. Please stay home. If you have questions about a course, please contact your instructor.

Vaccines and Testing

Vaccination and testing requirements differ between CCD students and employees.

Student Vaccine & Testing Information

Effective January 10, 2022, students who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test on a weekly basis. CCD recognizes all COVID-19 vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization.

Lack of compliance with these requirements will be addressed as a "failure to comply violation" of the  Student Code of Behavioral Expectations and could result in progressive disciplinary action, including suspension, from CCD.

Non-vaccinated Students

Students who are not fully vaccinated by January 10, 2022, and plan to take classes on campus are required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result each week of the Spring 2022 semester to our online form. Students may choose their own testing provider or visit the Health Center at Auraria for testing.

Students can receive the vaccine at any time and opt-out of weekly testing once proof of their vaccination status is submitted to CCD. Students who become fully vaccinated after January 10, 2022, will be required to continue weekly testing for two weeks following the student’s final dose. To be vaccinated, students may choose their own provider or visit the Health Center at Auraria.

Students who are not fully vaccinated and do not wish to undergo weekly COVID-19 testing can register for fully online courses for Spring 2022.

Students who are dropped from classes will be responsible for the cost of their courses in that semester and any financial aid associated with those courses. Their Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standing may be impacted as well.

Vaccinated Students

Students who are fully vaccinated can opt-out of weekly COVID-19 testing by submitting proof of their vaccination prior to January 10, 2022.

Employee Vaccine & Testing Information

In accordance with the City and County of Denver Public Health Order, all employees at the Community College of Denver must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 30, 2021. Employees must submit their proof of vaccination or medical, or religious exemption to our secure online form.

Have a medical or religious exemption?

Employees granted a medical or religious exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine must submit a once-per-week negative COVID-19 test. Employees may choose their own testing provider or visit the Health Center at Auraria for testing.

A negative COVID-19 test result must be submitted each week using our secure online form.

Masks are Required

All students, faculty, staff, and visitors must wear a mask indoors at all times. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

Employees in offices with a door may work without a mask when alone.

Masks are not required outdoors.

Reporting Your COVID-19 Status

To maintain the health of our College community, CCD asks all students, staff, and visitors to complete our online COVID-19 reporting form if they experience any of the following:

  • experience symptoms of COVID-19;
  • receive a positive COVID-19 test result;
  • ordered to be quarantined by a medical professional;
  • quarantined due to exposure;
  • hospitalized due to COVID-19.

If you’re faced with one of these situations, complete the COVID-19 reporting form as soon as possible.

For an understanding of how positive COVID-19 test results are reported to CCD, see our COVID-19 Response Flowchart.
