About Our President
Dr. Bishane Whitmore is a mission-driven executive leader who has served as a senior United States Air Force officer with more than 25 years of experience in strategic leadership, workforce development, fiscal stewardship, and community partnerships. Throughout his career, he has led complex organizations, supported thousands of service members, and partnered with universities and local communities to advance education, innovation, and economic opportunity.
He also has a personal connection to community colleges, having earned three associate degrees that opened the door to his continued education, including a bachelor’s degree, four master’s degrees, and a Ph.D. His distinguished career includes numerous academic and military honors, along with a deep commitment to student success and workforce development. We are excited to welcome Dr. Whitmore and look forward to the leadership and perspective he brings to our community.
