The Auraria Campus Police are full-time, fully certified Colorado peace officers, dispatchers, and security officers. In addition to patrolling the campus regularly each day and night, they have put into place helpful procedures for campus-wide safety.

The CCD Office of Emergency Management works collaboratively with campus departments, Auraria Campus Police, and leadership to coordinate emergency planning, response, and recovery efforts. Our services include:
Coordination and updates of CCD’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), including department-specific safety procedures.
Hands-on safety training, emergency drills, tabletop exercises, and presentations tailored for faculty, staff, and students.
Rapid coordination with Marketing & Communications to deliver timely, accurate alerts through multiple channels.
Guidance and templates to help departments prepare for service disruptions or critical incidents.
Connection to city and state emergency resources during large-scale incidents or weather events.
