The Care Team
Due to Covid-19, the Care Team continues to work remotely to support our students. Stay tuned for future updates on in-person office hours.
COVID 19 Student Emergency Aid Fund
The COVID-19 Student Emergency Aid Fund will provide support to help students pay the balance of their tuition and assist with rent, food, technology assistance, and childcare expenses. It is amazing to me what a difference even a hundred dollars can make to a student struggling to make ends meet. For more information please visit the CCD Foundation's Website.
What is the Care Team?
The Care Team was developed with the intention of assessing individuals-of-concern and to ensure that each student has the best support possible. Sometimes there are grey areas when supporting a student in our community, and the Care Team intends to make that process more clear.
Empowered by both the vice president of Enrollment Administration and Student Success and the College president, the Care Team:
- responds to reports regarding individuals-of-concern,
- works with supports, and connects individuals-of-concern to resources as necessary,
- develops preventative identification, education, and response strategies, and
- follows up with individuals-of-concern.
You may be the first to notice concerning behavior or may hold the last clue to preventing a catastrophe. Whether a student has an outburst, is going through personal challenges, or is acting out of character, the Care Team wants to know about it.
