Voting closes Friday, April 26 at 5pm. Winners will be announced the first week of May.

Running for Secretary or SACAB Representative.

“I chose to run for SGA because I want to advocate for students.”

Running for Lowry Student Representative.

“I am running for office because I want to have a voice for my campus. I am dental hygiene student and I want to bring more awareness to our dental hygiene clinic. We are so separated from the Auraria campus I feel like the Lowry Campus and all its services get overseen.”

Running for Vice President or Parliamentarian or SACAB Representative.

“I am running for CCD SGA because I want to leave a positive impact on our Community College for years to come.”

Running for Auraria Student Representative.

“I would be honored to serve in the Community College of Denver Student Government. I have significant experience serving the student body as a member of the student government at another community college. The experience serving as a representative and committee member showed me that students need to be heard. I also learned that having an involved and robust student government that can change the lives of the students attending the college. I intend to listen to the student body and take any feedback, questions and concerns to the government and advocate for the student body and their needs.”

Running for President.

“I want to be a good leader for my community. I believe this would be a good opportunity to test my abilities. I want to help in any way that I can, making sure our student body is being heard and represented correctly. I'm passionate about making our school a better place, and I believe my skills and experience make me a strong candidate.”

Running for Auraria Student Representative or President.

“I believe that I can help students at CCD who haven't yet found their place or that may be trying to form significant connections with others. By offering support for classes, events for socializing we make sure that the students are not being left alone, my own experiences have helped me to realize how the Community College of Denver can become a place to grow, and connect with our campus and all of our shared stories, struggles and successes.”

Running for Parliamentarian or SACAB Rep or SSAC Rep or Auraria Student Representative.

“I'm running for office at CCD to represent student interests and be a member of a group of students who seek to do that daily. Helping students and giving back to the community is what I strive for.”

Ways to Get Involved

  • Run for an office in your Student Government Association (SGA).
  • Vote for the SGA candidates of your choice.

SGA members are Student Leaders. As a Student Leader, you can advocate for students on a local, state, and even national level. You will also learn valuable skills to use in your future endeavors and daily life. SGA is a great way to give CCD students the voice, power, and strength needed to direct our college experience in the ways we envision it.
