The Community College of Denver will become the first academic institution to host a commencement ceremony at Coors Field, honoring more than 600 graduates on May 14, 2026. The event highlights CCD’s commitment to accessibility, student success, and the transformative impact of higher education across the Denver community.

The Community College of Denver (CCD) announced the start of construction on its new Virtual Reality (VR) Immersive Learning Lab, an innovative project that will deliver one of the most advanced immersive learning environments in higher education and the first of its kind in Colorado.

Dr. DeSanctis will assume her new role as CCCS Chancellor on October 1, 2025. She becomes the first Latina to lead the System.

CCD is the only Colorado institution chosen to join this important national initiative.

This generous contribution will fund scholarships for students across CCD's diverse academic pathways, reinforcing the MRIGs' unwavering commitment to education.
