Black Healing Circles

Community College of Denver, Office of Student life, along with campus-partners in the LGBTQ-RC and Gender Institute for Teaching & Advocacy recognizes that there is often little to no space on campus specifically for Black students to be able to fully express, and heal from, the racialized trauma & stress you experience each day. We want to change that. That is why we have partnered with a fantastic BIPOC-led organization in Denver, YouthSeen, to hold healing circles for all Auraria students who self-identify as Black. These healing circles will be a safe(r) and confidential space for Black students to be completely transparent about your experiences while being in community with other students who understand you. We welcome everyone to show up as they are and be able to say what they need to. The circles will have open communication so every student feels safe, seen, and heard. Again, The Healing Circles are being run & facilitated by our community-partner, YouthSeen, and are for students only.

YouthSeen will be holding healing circles every Friday from 2 - 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required to attend. Once you have signed up a member of YouthSeen will send you the zoom link to join the circle.
