CCD and ProTrain Launch Flexible Online Career Training

New programs prepare learners for opportunities in high-demand fields.

DENVER — [September 1, 2026] — Community College of Denver’s Center for Workforce Initiatives has partnered with ProTrain to expand access to flexible, online career training for Denver-area learners seeking to build new skills, prepare for over 200+ industry-recognized certifications, and pursue new professional opportunities.

Colorado’s workforce is changing quickly, increasing the need for accessible and career-relevant education. According to the 2025 Colorado Talent Pipeline Report, 77% of the state’s top jobs typically require a postsecondary credential for entry, and projections indicate that 73% of Colorado jobs will require some form of postsecondary education or training by 2031. However, not every learner is ready or able to commit immediately to a traditional degree program. These flexible online courses provide another pathway into workforce education, allowing working adults and career changers to build practical skills and take a focused step toward their next professional or educational goal.

The new platform gives learners access to online training in healthcare, information technology, business, project management and other high-demand career fields. Select courses are available in self-paced or live, instructor-led formats, giving participants the flexibility to choose the option that best supports their schedules and career goals.

“Education should be accessible to people at every stage of their careers,” said Katrina Wert, Vice President of the Center for Workforce Initiatives at Community College of Denver. “Our partnership with ProTrain gives working adults, career changers and other learners additional ways to develop practical skills without having to put their lives or employment on hold. It is another important step in helping people connect education with meaningful career opportunity.” Courses are delivered through ProTrain’s learning management system after enrolling through the CCD partnership.

The new CCD offering with ProTrain supports CCD’s continuing commitment to workforce development, career mobility and education that responds to the evolving needs of Colorado employers and communities.

Training Designed for Today’s Learners

The online training options are designed for adults who may be:

· Preparing to enter a new career field

· Returning to education after time away

· Seeking new skills to advance in their current profession

· Responding to changes in their industry or employment

· Preparing for select professional or industry certifications

· Looking for flexible training that can accommodate work and family responsibilities

Depending on the course, learners may select self-paced study or live online instruction. Course length, tuition, eligibility requirements and available certification preparation vary by program. Prospective learners can review course descriptions, delivery formats, estimated completion times, tuition information and available assistance before enrolling.

Flexible payment plans with 0% interest and no credit check are available on qualifying purchases of $1,000 or more.
