Your Rights as a Student and How to Take Action

We believe in transparency and fairness for all students. Colorado law protects your rights when it comes to transferring credits, receiving prior learning assessment, and getting clear information about your education.

Your Rights Include:

  • Fair and timely evaluation of your transfer credits.
  • Clear communication about how credits apply to your program.
  • The ability to appeal credit transfer decisions.

If You Have a Concern: 

  1. Talk to Us First – Contact the Office of Registration & Records to file a CCD Transfer Credit Appeal
  2. Submit a Complaint – If your CCD Transfer Credit Appeal was not addressed and you would like more support; you can submit a CCD complaint here. We will review your complaint and respond with any questions or a final decision within 60 days.
