The SPARC office works to provide holistic support for CityHawks to thrive at the Community College of Denver. Our team offers student services that enhances well-being, self-advocacy, leadership development and access to basic needs. Your growth as a student goes beyond the classroom. At the Community & Student Resource we support students’ academic success by providing all CityHawks with inclusive, collaborative, and student-centered basic needs services and culturally responsive programming.

Our mission is to provide leadership and facilitate equal access to institutional opportunities for students with disabilities to develop independence, self-advocacy skills, learn, and achieve personal and professional success.

Student Ombuds

The ombudsperson at Community College of Denver provides a safe space for students to raise concerns, discuss hardships, and receive help or guidance. Conversations with an ombudsperson are completely confidential and allow students to find resolution without going through formal College channels or procedures.

Commencement

The Community College of Denver 2026 Commencement Celebration will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. Learn more about steps to graduate by visiting the link below!

Swooper Market Food Pantry

All Community College of Denver students have access to Swooper Market Food Pantry located in Tivoli 259. Each student is eligible for 15 items/week and 3 additional items if you bring a reusable bag. 

Hours of Operations: Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm

Student Government Association

The mission of the Student Government Association is to represent the voice of CCD students. By joining SGA, students get involved on campus and support the interests of their fellow CityHawks.

Student-Led Organizations

You are encouraged to explore opportunities outside the classroom that support your academic and personal growth and development. Students and faculty have designed organizations to promote new experiences important to campus life and the development of community.
