Reading Strategies: Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R)

Did you know that most students who learn strong study strategy skills are more successful for both face-to-face and remote learning?

Use the survey, question, read, recite, and review (SQR3) reading strategy to give purpose to reading a text and to improve material recall. These same skills contribute to course success and transfer to career success, too. By knowing how to be an advocate for your learning, you will be more able to meet your goals. Some of these strategies might be familiar, but underutilized. To be successful, use these strategies daily.
