Cathleen A. Whiles

Cathleen Whiles is a professor and Chair of Performing Arts at the Community College of Denver. She has taught courses in music history, music appreciation, music theory, ear training and private lessons in piano, woodwinds and composition. She earned a master's degree in music composition from The University of Colorado and has a bachelor’s of music degree in both piano performance and composition for the University of Northern Colorado. Her music compositions include pieces for full orchestra, voice, chamber ensembles and solo piano. 

As a performer she enjoys romantic solo piano works as well as modern pieces for the piano.
