Dia De Los Muertos

On October 29th, the Community College of Denver is proud to partner with CU Denver and MSU Denver to host a vibrant tri-institutional celebration of Día de los Muertos, honoring the rich cultural traditions that connect us across campuses and communities. This event invites all students to come together in remembrance, creativity, and joy. The morning will begin with free breakfast from Los Molinos, followed by a hands-on workshop where students can paint their own sugar skulls—an iconic symbol of Día de los Muertos that represents the beauty of life and the honoring of those who came before us. The space will be thoughtfully decorated to reflect the spirit of the holiday, creating an immersive and welcoming atmosphere. Celebrating Día de los Muertos on campus is more than an event—it’s an opportunity for students to engage with cultural heritage, build community, and find belonging through shared experiences. By recognizing traditions that matter deeply to many of our students and their families, we foster a campus environment that values identity, connection, and inclusion.
