Fall Session in September 14 - December 12, 2024.  Registration is open on July 27.
Step 1:  Take the Placement test to determine your level. 
Step 2:  Register for class here:  Complete the Course Selection (after July 27).
Step 3:  Pay $290 total for the 12-week class includes all materials.  $580 for 2 classes.

We offer 7 levels of class and online or in-person options. Each level takes about 1 year to complete. Classes are 10 weeks long. The first Saturday class is June 1. 
Cost: $270.00 total for 10 weeks of class with an instructor. The cost includes all materials and access to Burlington English. Classes fill up quickly.

Payment holds your place in the class. The payment deadline is May 25. No refunds after June 14

Level 2-3: Beginning

  • IN-PERSON; Reading/Writing: Saturdays at 9 am - 12 pm, CCD Confluence Building Room 219. June 1 - August 3. Your teacher is Sharon.
  • IN-PERSON; Listening/Speaking: Saturdays at 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm, CCD Confluence Building Room 221. June 1 - August 3. Your teacher is Bethany.

Level 4-5: Intermediate (Reading/Writing is either in-person or online.  Listening/Speaking is only in-person.) 

  • IN-PERSON; Reading/Writing: Saturdays at 9 am - 12 pm, CCD Confluence Building Room 217. June 1 - August 3. Your teacher is Diana

  • ONLINE; Reading/Writing: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm - 7 pm. June 4 - August 8. Your teacher is Diana.

Level 6: Advanced (Reading/Writing is either in-person or online.  Listening/Speaking is only in-person.)

  • IN-PERSON; Listening/Speaking: Saturdays at 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm, CCD Confluence Building Room 223. June 1 - August 3. Your teacher is Rhonda.
  • ONLINE; Reading/Writing: Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm - 7 pm. June 3 - August 7. Your teacher is Tiffany.

Level 7: Advanced Intensive

  • IN-PERSON; Reading & Writing: Saturdays at 9 am - 12 pm, CCD Confluence Building Room 223. June 1 - August 3. Your teacher is Beth.

Online class:   Your teacher will send you the link to the class. This is a class with a teacher. Participation is required. 

AELA Classes

AELA is a grant-funded class designed to help you achieve your English language, personal, and career goals. We have English Language classes, Computer Skills classes, and High School Equivalency classes. The classes are free, but requires a high level of commitment and significant homework. All English classes are in-person in the day, and online in the evening. There are no weekend classes for English or Computer classes. We offer English classes for levels 1 (beginner) to 6 (advanced). A 3.5-hour, in-person orientation and registration session is required for AELA English Classes. Upcoming AELA English Classes:  

  • July 15 to September 20, 2024
  • September 30 to December 12, 2024

Advanced Classes:  English for Nurse Aide, Medical Office Admin, or Intro to PC Apps/Computer Support
