Annual Student Art & Design Show

The annual student art and design show is an event that highlights the artistic achievements of CCD’s students across the College, not just the visual arts and graphic design students.

The exhibition features work created during the past year by CCD students at all levels of creative practice. Although most entries are submitted by students who are focusing on studio arts or graphic design, many students from outside these programs enter their artwork and are selected for the show. This serves to expand the demonstration of creativity across our college community.

All artwork and designs selected for exhibition in the student art show are juried by recognized art and design professionals. Jurors also select award winners for scholarships! These artists and designers are also featured in CCD’s OurGlass publication alongside select student creative writing.

Each year, our launch event showcases the artwork and celebrates participants. Be sure to check the schedule and join us!

Additional recognition is given to award winners and selected works in CCD’s OurGlass publication. Ourglass is the journal of CCD's English, Graphic Design, and Visual Arts programs, dedicated to providing a forum for poetry, prose, drama, design, and artwork for our students. 

Any CCD student, part-time or full-time, enrolled in the current academic year is eligible to submit artwork. Submission to this juried exhibition is free! Submissions can be any art or design work done independently or within a CCD class. (Any work previously entered and selected is ineligible for resubmission.) 

You may submit artwork to the following media categories:

NOTE: You may submit up to five entries per category. Entry into multiple categories is allowed and encouraged.

Submission methods and requirements will be communicated in the months leading up to the CCD Annual Juried Art & Design Show each spring semester. Stay tuned to your CCD email, your D2L course announcements, and communications from CCD.edu to be ready to show your best work!

  • 2024 CCD Student Art & Design Show submissions will open the week of February 19 thru March 7
  • All selectees will be notified of their status and receive additional information on preparation, drop off and pick up requirements of their artworks by Friday March 22, 2024
  • Drop-off of the selected artwork will be on Thursday, March 28 & Friday, March 29 from 10am to 4pm
  • Pick-up will occur on Friday, April 14, 2023 (10:00 am to 4:00 pm) and Monday, April 17, 2023  (10:00 am to 2:00 pm)
  • The Show Opening Event will occur on Thursday, April 4, from 3:30 – 5:30pm. Join us for the launch at The Emmanuel Gallery on Campus for the opening celebration, refreshments, and awards announcements!
  • Exhibition Dates: The 2022 CCD Annual Juried Student Art & Design Schow will run from Thursday, April 4 through Thursday, April 18, 2024
