CCD Looks Forward to the Advanced Manufacturing Center Grand Opening
Currently located at 6221 Downing Street, these programs have outgrown their 10,000-square-foot building. Moving to the new location will allow the machining and welding programs to increase enrollment and add additional equipment to enhance the educational experience of CCD students. The state-of-the-art 33,280-square-foot facility is located at 2570 31st Street, directly north of the Regency Student Housing Community and only about four miles from the main Auraria campus. The Downing Street location will remain open to provide non-credit training as well.
Over the past several months, CCD's team of planners have been working with Anderson Mason Dale Architects in developing a design for the new facility and RJM Construction has been awarded the contract to build out the new facility. We are now in the process of obtaining all necessary approvals from the city and county of Denver and hope to have the new building ready for occupancy for the start of the fall 2015 semester.
