TRIO SSS Inks Transfer Scholarship Opportunity
The TRIO Student Support Services Partnership Award is for students transferring to Colorado State University from a Colorado community college after successfully participating in a TRIO SSS program for at least one year prior to transfer. In addition to providing a renewable $2,500 scholarship, the partnership facilitates a seamless transfer experience through pre-transfer advising and a guided transition into TRIO SSS and the Community for Excellence at Colorado State University.
Institutions across the nation receive Federal funding from the U.S. Department of Education to operate TRIO SSS programs. The objective of these programs is to increase student persistence and degree completion for individuals overcoming obstacles to education. Specifically, these obstacles include limited income, first-generation to attend college, and disability.
To be eligible for TRIO Student Support Services Partnership Award, a CCD student must successfully participate in TRIO SSS for at least one year prior to transfer. New CCD students may apply to TRIO SSS and its Summer Bridge program between April and June each year. Returning CCD students (or new students unable to attend Summer Bridge) may apply to TRIO SSS during fall intake (September) or spring intake (February).
