Maritza Medina, who graduated earlier this month, was featured in an article by Rocky Mountain PBS about her academic journey.
Maritza Medina is a Denver native, recent Community College of Denver (CCD) graduate, and a Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) recipient. Her success story was highlighted by Rocky Mountain PBS, who attended Commencement along with DSF representative, Olivia Omega, and CCD Campus Adviser, Cynthia Gallegos.
In the article, Maritza goes on to talk about wanting to help people, which she is on her way to doing by attending Metropolitan State University for psychology this fall. Cynthia Gallegos expresses her passion and love of her job, being able to see her students grow here at Community College of Denver and beyond.
