The Academic and Career Experience (ACE) Scholarship program contributes to the national need for well-educated scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and technicians by supporting the retention and graduation of high-achieving, low-income students with demonstrated financial need at the Community College of Denver (CCD).
Students selected for the ACE Scholarship program will receive scholarship funds in the amount of up to $2,500 per semester for a total of up to $10,000 over four semesters to complete an associate degree in a STEM field.
Along with the financial award each semester, the ACE Scholarship program includes a number of enrichment activities that support student retention, success, career preparedness, graduation, and transfer. These activities are required of student participants to remain in the scholarship program.
Students in the program work with a full-time faculty mentor to support them throughout the program and make connections to internships and research opportunities that align with their program. Students also benefit from professional development opportunities and exploration of STEM-related industries. Tours of four-year institutions are also provided to guide students toward completing a four-year degree upon graduation from CCD.
