Scholarships

Now that you have become a CCD student it is time to make plans to pull financial aid resources together to pay for your education.  Although it may seem overwhelming right now, there are many options available to help you.

Scholarships constitute another type of financial assistance available to CCD students. Scholarship criteria vary, but may include academic achievement, program affiliation, civic involvement or financial need. They are awarded by institutions, governments, private individuals, foundations and community organizations.

If a student receives a scholarship, it is counted in determining his or her financial need. Other types of aid may be reduced if the scholarship, when combined with other assistance, exceeds the student’s documented need or falls outside the packaging policy parameters.

The CCD Scholarship Application for the 2013-2014 academic year is now available!

THE PRIORITY DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR CCD SCHOLARSHIPS IS APRIL 15, 2013. 

Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

REMEMBER - Apply for all scholarships for which you may qualify.  Scholarships make college more affordable. Every dollar you win in a scholarship is a dollar you (or your family) do not have to pay out of your pocket or it is a dollar less than needs to be borrowed. Start your scholarship search as early as possible as many scholarship programs have deadlines as early as late fall for the next academic year
