If you are considered dependent on the FAFSA but are unable to provide parental information due to abuse, neglect, a lack of contact, or a strained relationship with both of your biological or adoptive parents, you may submit this Petition to be considered independent for financial aid. 

The 2026-2027 form is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 Semesters
