Wendy Economou has been a faculty member at CCD for four years, teaching in the veterinary technology program. She holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Critical Care, and Restraint and Handling. In addition, Wendy runs a wellness clinic for employee and student pets during which students practice their handling and exam skills. She also oversees the student anesthesia labs where she performs routine spays and neuters.
Prior to working at CCD, Wendy was a veterinarian in a small animal general practice for 11 years. Wendy resides with her husband, daughter, and three furry friends. She enjoys mountain and road biking, skiing, hiking, reading, playing video games, and hanging out with family and friends.
