Community College of Denver Named Military Friendly® School
Community College of Denver (CCD) has once again been named to Victory Media’s list of Military Friendly® Schools.
The Military Friendly Schools designation is awarded to the top colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools in the country that do the most to embrace military students, and to those schools that dedicate resources to ensure their veterans’ success both in the classroom and after graduation.
CCD is home to more than 400 veterans and offers individualized, academic counseling and assistance with education benefits. CCD offers three scholarships exclusive to veterans and as well as a dedicated veterans center.
“We are pleased and honored to once again be named a Military Friendly School”, said Kevin Williams, Vice President of Enrollment Administration & Student Success. “This acknowledgment is timely given that we just opened a new Veterans Services Center, which is geared towards ensuring veterans and their families have the resources they need to feel welcome and successful on our campus.”
CCD will be showcased along with other 2020-21 Military Friendly® Schools in the annual Guide to Military Friendly® Schools, special education issues of G.I. Jobs® and Military Spouse Magazine, and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
