Dear CityHawks,
Currently, CCD instructors are working to transition their in-person classes to a remote delivery format. Most, but not all, CCD employees will work remotely during regular business hours. The college has asked instructors to launch remote delivery options with their class communities by Wednesday, March 18.
Most classes have already met, developed a plan, and launched remote delivery. Since each class is structured differently, and each classroom community member has access to different technology and resources at home, this is a fluid process and may take some time to accomplish. If you, your instructor, and the rest of your class community have made and launched your plan, you do not need to return to campus.
Community College of Denver (CCD) is offering remote student services and consolidating face-to-face services into the Cherry Creek Building where needed. The College decided to keep the Cherry Creek building open as much as is safely practical to continue to serve those students who need a place to access technology (computers/Internet). Designated computer labs in Cherry Creek 119, 121, and 123 will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Be sure to bring your CCD school ID to campus to ensure access to CCD buildings.
No in-person student support services for Lowry and AMC students will be provided, except on the Auraria campus. Designated computer labs for Lowry students are in Health Science Building Room 235.
Remote services for all students are available at:
Most Auraria campus buildings will be closed starting Tuesday, March 17 at 5:00 p.m., for the foreseeable future. The following Auraria buildings used by CCD will be closed: Arts, Bear Creek, Boulder Creek, Clear Creek, Confluence, King Center, Library, Science, and Tivoli Student Center. If you take classes at MSU Denver or the University of Colorado Denver, check with your institution before coming to campus.
We understand this is a stressful time with many uncertainties. If you are experiencing stress or anxiety affecting your college success, you may contact the Counseling Center or the Care team (numbers below).
