From Delivering Pizza to Receiving a Bigger Slice of the Pie

Learn how to make your end-of-year-gift today

I met a student last week who spent the first twenty years of his adult life delivering pizza. At age 38, he decided that he wanted more for himself and his career, and after doing his research, he chose one of Community College of Denver’s workforce programs at our Advanced Manufacturing Center.

The day I met Paul Monnot, he was set to graduate and start his new job the following Monday – a position with a top-tier company, making a good salary with excellent benefits – and best of all, a promising future.

Did you know that among all higher education institutions, there are none who produce economic mobility for its students like community colleges? Many of our students are first-generation college students who qualify for need-based financial aid, and they leave our schools with a passport to the middle class – able to provide for themselves and their families.

Thanks to the support of contributors like you, the Community College of Denver Foundation awarded a record $585,000 in scholarships to our students last year.

As 2019 gives way to 2020, my staff and I are delighted to continue to partner with you to change lives and transform futures in our community.
