Robots & Rocket Launch: Create and launch rockets with the science department teachers. Join us as we explore robotic materials and mechanics!

IC3: Technology has become a part of our everyday lives, and understanding how to function in environments that require the use of computers and the Internet is more critical now than ever before. So, whether you plan to pursue a career in IT, or simply become more effective with technology, IC3 Digital Literacy Certification is the place to start.

MOS: Attendees will receive training and support for preparation and completion on Word and/or Excel Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exams.

Photoshop Intro: This workshop is ideal for designers, photographers, bloggers and creatives of all types!

Using crime and police tactics and weapons, you'll assess the situations being projected and make decisions based on your own gut reactions. Interested in criminal science or paralegal programs? Situational Awareness Simulator: Large projection screens and simulations will change with each decision you make. Using crime and police tactics and weapons, you'll assess the situations being projected and make decisions based on your own gut reactions. Interested in criminal science or paralegal programs? This simulator is perfect for you!

GPS Scavenger Hunt: Participate in a campus-wide scavenger hunt using GPS devices to find specific coordinates and complete activities. Once split up into groups, your team will go on an adventure to explore the Auraria Campus and complete a list of items to find, activities to finish and places to visit. Whichever team completes their list in the quickest time will win an assortment of prizes and CCD swag!

MOS: Attendees will receive training and support for preparation and completion on Word and/or Excel Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exams.

PC Troubleshooting: Learn all the basics of IT repair and troubleshooting, launching you into the A+ certification class with confidence. Topics covered include hardware concepts, PF fundamentals, software compatibility, multimedia platforms, system board, networking, memory management and mobile repair.

Specialty Workshops: Vital Start, Cherry Creek Water & Insect Sampling

 

Vital Start CPR Certification: This certification includes the class, a written test, a a test to demonstrate your skills. This certification may apply toward a nurse aide or medical assisting degrees!

Water & Insect Sampling: This activity will include collecting samples of water and aquatic insects from the Cherry Creek in downtown Denver. Once samples are collected, you will return to one of our on-campus labs and further investigate and experiment with your samples, looking into what the water contains and what insects live in our local natural waters.

These two-day training courses take place on the Thursday and Friday after Summer Connect from 1-4:00 p.m. You can attend on ANY of the dates these courses are offered and don't have to complete the Summer Connect program to attend!

Summer Connect expands for those students interested in gaining extra training in one of the following digital literacy courses:
