The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) has announced a nationwide search for the next Community College of Denver (CCD) President. CCCS is committed to a thorough and inclusive search process, which will identify the best leader for CCD from a deep and diverse pool of candidates. To assist in this effort, CCCS has partnered with the national executive search firm, Isaacson, Miller. Isaacson, Miller is a preeminent firm serving academia in the recruitment of presidents for some of the nation’s leading colleges and universities. The team of consultants led by Monroe “Bud” Moseley, partner, with the assistance of Andarla Hodge, senior associate and Denver, CO local, Grace Munschauer, senior search coordinator, and Drew Turley, research specialist and proud attendee of CCD from 2012 to 2014.
To help define the professional experiences, traits and attributes needed in the next president, CCD and CCCS faculty, students, staff, alumnae/i, and other campus stakeholders’ are asked to provide input. Please share your views about the future of CCD and the type of leader you think is needed. Additionally, throughout the search process, you can submit search inquiries and candidate nominations directly to the Isaacson, Miller team.
With the information gleaned from stakeholder conversations and shared through the above survey, the advisory search committee and consultants will formulate a position profile to serve as a guiding document during the recruitment and assessment process. The goal is to finalize the profile before the end of July. Isaacson, Miller will spend the late summer and fall developing a candidate pool for the advisory search committee to review, interview and assess. The strongest candidates in that pool will then be invited to meet with a larger group of campus constituencies and it is our goal to announce the final selection in December.
The CCD community can stay informed about the progress of this search through this webpage.
