HSI STEM Scholars Program

About the Program

The HSI STEM Scholars program works with Hispanic and/or low-income STEM students (i.e., those working on science, technology, engineering, and math degrees, not including Health Sciences) throughout their time at CCD. If you join the program, you’ll get personalized assistance from the STEM Navigator through monthly one-on-one advising to develop an educational plan that fits you. We will work together to identify your career goals and plan backward to the classes you need to take to reach those goals. If you’re not sure what you want to do for a career, we can help you figure that out, too.

You’ll also have opportunities to connect with other HSI STEM Scholars and faculty by participating in STEM clubs to get hands-on experience and build your resume. If you would like to share your story, you’ll have the opportunity to create a video about why you chose STEM, your goals, and your path to reaching them.
