Lincoln Phillips is currently a lead faculty member of the visual arts department, teaching creative digital photography and time-based design courses. This ‘lead faculty’ role allows him to work with some of the most active and committed faculty at CCD, both in his department and in the affiliated program of graphic design. He enjoys helping the team of visual arts faculty deliver high-engagement educational experiences to our students.

Previously, Lincoln was chair of visual arts, chair of photography, interim chair of graphic design, and area coordinator of multimedia design, all here at CCD. He is deeply thankful to have the opportunity to work in this particular educational setting. The possibilities and challenges we face are inspiring to him and invigorate his commitment to our shared mission each semester when he sees new faces in the classroom. Professor Phillips has been a full-time faculty member of the College since the fall semester of 2000.

He enjoys putting his creative mind to work through the medium of photography, spending time with his son, experiencing different cultures, and engaging in deep philosophical discussions with the family dog, Toby.
