Wellington Webb Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship

The Wellington Webb Martin, Dr. Luther King, Jr. Scholarship was established by the Colorado Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission. The scholarship annually assists one or more students with demonstrated financial need who have a demonstrated commitment to civic engagement and community leadership. The scholarship is awarded during CCD’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration.

Requirements, Terms & Conditions:

•  Complete the CCD scholarship application
•  Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA or Income Information Form
•  Maintain a 3.0 GPA
•  Maintain satisfactory academic progress at CCD
• Upload Degree Works plan
• Wite an essay that demonstrates your commitment, engagement, and/or service to political action, awareness or civic services. How do these activities align with vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 
• Please include any documentation you may have, pictures, awards, newspaper clippings, etc. *Documentation not mandatory but encouraged.*

Two students will be awarded $500 for the spring 2021 semeser.
