Study Break with Renee Fajardo!

Renee Fajardo will tell stories, Legends of La Llorona, and introduce a film screening of La Llorona about a female legend in Hispanic American folklore.

Renee Fajardo coordinates the Journey Through Our Heritage at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The Journey is about teamwork, community service, honoring our ancestors, and knowing our history for Chicana/o along with African American Studies. Everyone is from indigenous peoples and the past has much to teach us about being caretakers of the Earth. She believes that community is family and through our connection to our past and ancestral ways we can empathize with others in a compassionate way.
