Actor Edward James Olmos will be visiting our campus to share his experience as a Hispanic American actor. He was born in East Los Angeles, California. He refers to his ethnically diverse neighborhood s a 'salad bowl' because each culture kept its own unique qualities, blending into a whole without losing individual flavors. This background contributed towards his open-mindedness and ability to welcome diversity among people. This distinguished Hollywood actor is well known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, Selena, Miami Vice and starred in the movie, Stand and Deliver.
