This is a true story about young women in the 1920's. Those young women were empowered and found work, but for blue collar families, that work did not always lead to liberation. For some, it lead only to death. It is based on the first case of worker's injury compensation in America and explores the class issues and gender inequality of the Roaring 20's in a way that still echoes today.
