Film & Discussion Series | Just Call Me Kade

The CCD Diversity & Inclusion Council Film & Discussion Series is designed to provoke insightful discussion around themes of diversity.

CCD students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in this event that will be moderated by Xajes Martinez, the assistant director of the LGBTQ Student Resource Center at Auraria.  This semester, the focus is on gender and transgender issues.

About This Film

Just Call Me Kade is the inspiring true story of Kade Farlow Collins, a 16-year-old (female to male) transgendered person. The film documents the initial stages of his transition from female gender to male and chronicles his struggle to become his authentic self.

This Film & Discussion Series will be presented twice:

  • March 14th, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • April 24th, 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
