Faculty | EDU 260: Adult Learning & Teaching

This online course is part of the credentialing requirement for full-time CTE faculty and must be completed within three years of start date at CCD.

It examines the philosophy of community colleges and/or secondary schools and the roles and responsibilities of the faculty member within the college/school community. It introduces basic instructional theories and applications with particular emphasis on adult learners. It also includes syllabus development, learning goals and outcomes, lesson plans and emphasizes teaching to a diverse student body, classroom management, assessment and instructional technology.
