Envisioning Healing Justice for Auraria Veterans

October is Domestic Violence / Interpersonal Violence Awareness Month. As part of our anti-violence programming, the CCD Office of Student Life & The Phoenix Center at Auraria is hosting a webinar on Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Please Register Today. The webinar is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members.

What Is Military Sexual Trauma (MST)?

MST refers to sexual assault or repeated, threatening sexual harassment that happened while a Veteran was in the military. This can happen to anyone, regardless of gender.  Our panelists will discuss the impacts of MST on veterans, family members, and how the culture of toxic masculinity inherent in militarism harms our community. Panelists will then explore what healing justice*** can look like for MST survivors and our communities as a whole. Lastly, we will have staff from our campus Veteran Services Departments available for students looking for additional support and on-going community. Learn more about Military Sexual Trauma
