This year we will host our celebration on Thursday, May 11, from 10 am to 3 pm on the Auraria campus.
Each graduate will have the opportunity to walk across the stage in the Tivoli Turnhalle. Family and friends of our graduates will be able to get close to the stage to cheer on their grads and take pictures.
We will also have stations near the stage where we will hang out graduation goodies, including a printed commencement program. Enjoy the Mariachi Band from Noon to 1:00 p.m. during intermission!
Students will check in at a desk in the Tivoli lobby (by the piano). Students scheduled to walk in the morning must check in by 11:45 a.m. If you forgot to grab your cap & gown during Grad Fair, you may pick them up in Tivoli Room 259. A steamer for your gown will also be available in Room 259.
Free parking will be available in the Holly Lot for graduates, family, and friends. We do advise bringing an umbrella for the short walk from the parking lot to the Turnhalle.
Parking address: 801 Curtis Street, Denver, CO 80204.
We are inviting the CityHawk Community to help us pitch in to support the Food Bank of the Rockies as they continue to support the refugees coming through Denver in pursuit of their American Dream. For many, Denver is a stop along a much longer journey. Food Bank of the Rockies will gladly accept all shelf-stable/non-perishable items. Some examples of items that make great donations:
They will not accept damaged, expired, or items packaged in glass. If you are interested, bring your items to the graduation, and we will collect them in the Turnhalle lobby.
Caps and gowns for 2023 graduates will be available for pick up on the 1st floor of the Confluence Building on Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 9, from noon to 6 pm. If you're anticipating cords, stoles or pins, please get in touch with your student organization or program coordinator for more information.
For accessibility accommodations, please get in touch with the Accessibility Center at CCD.Access@ccd.edu by Monday, May 1, 2023.
Please check back for additional information and further details as we approach the big day!
We know that if you choose to participate in the celebration, you’ll feel the CCD love and pride we have for you. Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.“ CityHawks, we know you are well-equipped to do just that!
Congratulations to all our graduates!
