ACUE - Fostering a Culture of Belonging (FCB) - March 2023

ACUE’s courses address a comprehensive set of evidence-based practices shown to promote student success. In ACUE’s Fostering a Culture of Belonging (FCB) microcredential course, course-takers learn practices for developing students’ sense of belonging, ensuring materials are accessible, developing appreciation for diverse viewpoints, understanding how diversity aids in innovation, and setting expectations for productive dialogue. This course is designed for both staff and faculty course takers.

This second option will begin March 27, 2023. The course consists of four modules that are almost completely asynchronously. Most course-takers finish in an average of 6-7 weeks.  Previous cohort members report that they needed anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete each module. Upon completion of this course, completers will earn a digital badge which can be added to curriculum vitae and displayed on LinkedIn profiles or webpages as a sign of your achievement.

• Reducing Microaggressions in Learning Environments
• Addressing Imposter Phenomenon and Stereotype Threat
• Creating Inclusive Learning Environments
