Leadership conferences are offered on campus throughout the academic year and are free or low cost to all CCD students. These conference opportunities cover a broad spectrum of current topics to help further both your academic education and your future career prospects. Each conference offers a keynote speaker and workshops where students can discuss the topics and network with attendees.

Black World Conference

February 19 & 20, 2020 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. | St. Cajetan's Center, Auraria Campus

Hosted by MSU Denver's Department of Africana Studies, the Black World Conference is the department's signature Black History Month event. In honor of the centennial of the 19th amendment, the 2020 Black World Conference recognizes African American Women in their struggle for the vote, hence this year's theme: "African American Women in the Race for the Vote." The event is free and open to the public.

16th Annual Latinx Leadership Summit

This Annual Latino Leadership Summit celebrates the life, leadership, and work of César Chavez. The day is filled with relevant speakers, student activism, culture, dance and art programs following the example and leadership established by César Chavez.
