CCD & AHEC

Distinct and dynamic, the Auraria Campus gives CCD something other community colleges just don’t have—a world-class campus in the heart of downtown Denver.

About

This 150-acre campus is home to three colleges, who all have full access to the campus’ high-tech library, sports and recreation facilities, performing arts theatre and production studios, a student union, a police department, health care offices, and much, much more—all managed and run by the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC).

Board of Directors

The 11 members of the board govern AHEC. The board is made up of the three chief executives of each college, three members who are appointed by the Governor of Colorado, one member who is appointed by the Regents of the University of Colorado, one member who is appointed by the Board of Trustees for Metropolitan State University of Denver, and another member who is appointed by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. The final two non-voting members of the board are elected by Student and Faculty Advisory Committees to the Auraria Board.

AHEC’s Board of Directors typically meets once a month in the Tivoli Student Union, 320BC. Learn more here and read their agendas and minutes.
