The job market is rapidly changing and we are committed to helping you change with it. The Career & Transfer Center (CTC) will provide you with the right technology, tools and tips to help you plan your next career move.
All currently enrolled CCD students and newly accepted students are eligible to visit the career center to gain access to a better career. Alumni who have graduated in the last year are also eligible for services. Services may be available to alumni who have graduated in more than a years’ time for a limited one to two visits, as long as we are not currently accommodating current student demands. Start by calling our office today and set up an appointment to meet with an advisor face to face. Career Testing & Assessments
Career assessments can be a great way for you to explore your interests and personality so that you can make the best choice about your major and career path. Our assessments will not tell you what to do but will help you better understand why you might look into some specific possibilities.
Career Assessment Options
The CTC has a variety of career assessments that will help you make sense of your interests, abilities, and personality in order to make the best career choice for you. In order to take a formal career inventory, come to our office during walk-in hours or call us at 303.352.3306 to make an appointment that works with your schedule. We are open Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ (MBTI) is the most trusted and widely used assessment in the world for understanding personality and uncovering new ways to work and interact with others. This assessment is particularly helpful if you want to learn about your personality and how it relates to the world of work. An interpretation of your results with a career advisor in our office is required for this instrument.
The Strong Interest Inventory™ measures your level of interest in a broad range of occupations, work and leisure activities, and academic majors. An interpretation of your results with a career advisor in our office is required for this instrument.
FOCUS 2™ combines self-assessment, career and major exploration, decision making, and action planning in one comprehensive program. It helps you to know how your interests, skills, values, and personality relates to programs here at CCD! Come to our office and we will discuss which assessment is right for you.
