College Pathways

We are proud to become the first college or university in the state of Colorado to earn NACEP accreditation! This rigorous standard ensures the quality of our concurrent enrollment programming.

Path to College

CCD's College Pathways programs — concurrent enrollment, Early College and the ASCENT Program — enable high school students like you to take college classes and earn college credit while you are still in high school. CCD collaborates with many high schools in Denver and has special partnerships with several Denver Public Schools.

How to Earn College Credits Now

Concurrent enrollment (CE) is a great way to get a head start on your college career because the college course(s) you take here at CCD can seamlessly transfer into a four-year degree at another college or university. Learn more about our programs and speak with your high school guidance counselor to learn how you can start at CCD while you finish high school.

Save Money

CE classes are true college classes with the same standards and expectations as all CCD courses. Because area schools and districts pay the cost of tuition, you can achieve success at the college level with little to no cost. CE students saved over $2.24 million in tuition costs in the 2018-19 school year alone! Contact the CCD College Pathways office or your high school counselor to learn more.

Success Rate

In the spring of 2019, 75 students completed a certificate or degree before they even finished high school. In the 2018-2019 school year, nearly 1,650 students from the metro-Denver area took CE courses. These students took over 4,800 courses, acquiring nearly 15,000 credit hours. Our data shows that CE students consistently perform well in their classes both at their high school and on the Auraria Campus.

Getting Started

The information on these pages is to help you gain a better understanding of these programs. However, to learn how you can begin the College Pathways program, please speak with your high school guidance counselor first. Any additional questions or concerns can be directed to our office.

Courses vary across high school campuses and may be subject to change or cancellation. For an accurate list of courses at your high school, please contact your high school counselor or the College Pathways office.

Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways courses will always transfer to public colleges and universities in Colorado. Learn more about GT courses, transfer degrees and guided pathways here.
