Susan Sinclair, MA, LPC, CACII
Program Chair and Professor Leigh Sinclair joined CCD’s human services program in 2007. She currently teaches and sits on the Academic Standards Committee as the Career and Technical Education representative from the Center for Performing Arts and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. Prior to joining CCD, Leigh was the crisis intervention team program manager at the Denver Police Department and the founder of the Center for Child and Adolescent Counseling. Throughout her career, she has worked as founder and co-founder of several programs in Denver to assist underserved populations, families in crisis, substance abuse and individuals suffering from mental illness. She currently trains law enforcement in working with individuals in crisis suffering from mental illness. She has also been an adjunct instructor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Leigh and her husband share several grown children, grandchildren and a Portuguese Water dog named Finley. In her spare time, she enjoys sitting on the beach while reading and writing. She is also very active with several nonprofit agencies in the Denver metro area where she has served on boards and performed volunteer work.
