What to Expect as You Start the Fall Semester

We’re excited to start the fall semester with you, CityHawks! Here is some helpful information to help you prepare.  

Learning Options 

We are excited to offer more in-person classes this semester. We are also keeping online and hybrid learning options available to provide flexible options for our students. Learn more at CCD.edu/LearningOptions

Mask Mandate 

Currently, anyone visiting any of our locations is required to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccine status to support safe learning environments in accordance with CDC recommendations. As a reminder, a persons’ vaccine status is protected health information; please refrain from asking fellow students, employees and campus visitors about their vaccine status. 

Vaccine Status 

Effective August 9th, all CCD employees are required to be fully vaccinated by September 13th.  

While there is no requirement for students (except for student hourly and work-study students), we encourage everyone to get vaccinated.  

• The Health Center at Auraria continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines and testing. Visit the Health Center at Auraria's website for more details. 
• The State of Colorado offers $100 Walmart gift cards while supplies last to anyone who gets a first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at a participating state-operated vaccine site. To find a participating location, visit the Colorado Comeback Cash website. 

Other Important Information 

• Continue to always wear your CCD ID on campus.  
• Continue to report COVID cases to your instructors and/or CCD staff.  
• Our stellar CCD facilities team continues its sanitization efforts to keep surfaces clean, and wipes will be available in classrooms, and in department offices by request.

Student services offices will have extended hours if you have questions or need assistance in preparation for the fall semester.

During the 2021-22 academic year, some or all of the instructional formats may change due to an emergency situation affecting college operations, public safety, or public health, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Tuition and fees are charged at the beginning of the semester and will remain in place regardless of any changes in an instructional format. Tuition and fees will not be refunded in the event the curriculum delivery format changes for any part of the 2021-22 academic year.
