CCD Is Proud to Have You Involved in Our Great Institution!

In honor of all the cultural influences at CCD, an event was held on October 4th and 5th to show just a few countries that our staff and students represent. SOMOS CCD was a huge success. Here are some pictures from the event.

Scholarship Essay Tips & Tricks

While writing your scholarship essays, appeal to the scholarship reviewer. Each reviewer is going to be different but the following tips and tricks can help you stand out above the rest.

  • Distinct Character & Self-Assurance: You want to give the reviewers an idea of your unique personality beyond your academics. The essay or cover letter is a good place to set yourself apart from other applicants.
  • Moral Principles & Integrity: What do you do that goes above the basics or “call of duty” and is not motivated by personal gain? Examples may include tutoring at a local elementary school or volunteering at a soup kitchen.
  • Ambition & High Standards: Highlight your academic progress and coursework. Ask significant figures in your life to provide letters of recommendation giving positive affirmation of your success.
