In honor of Community College of Denver (CCD)’s veteran students who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, a new lounge will be dedicated to those students on Monday, April 6th from 2 – 3:00 p.m. The new Veteran Services Lounge will be housed in CCD’s Cherry Creek Building, located at 1111 West Colfax Avenue on the Auraria Campus in Denver.
Over 400 veterans attend CCD, which has been named one of the best Colorado Colleges for U.S. Veterans by Military Advanced Education’s 2015 Guide to Colleges & Universities. The new lounge serves as a reminder to all students of a veteran’s sacrifice to our country.
CCD veteran student club president Fernando Torres will be offering short remarks. Refreshments will follow the presentation.
