A Message from CCD President Freeman
The past seven months have been a challenge, but have also given us an opportunity to grow. Despite the obstacles facing us, I continue to be inspired by the hard work and perseverance of our entire CCD community. I am encouraged by how well our CityHawk team has pulled together and how you continue to succeed in the face of the pandemic.
With the uncertainty about the virus continuing and flu season just beginning, it’s more important than ever for all of us to remain diligent in our efforts to keep our CityHawk community safe and healthy.
If you haven’t yet taken time to get a flu shot, please do so now. The Health Center at Auraria offers free flu shots Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - Noon and 1 - 4:00 p.m. by appointment for Auraria constituents. Please call 303.615.9999 to make an appointment.
Average daily cases of COVID in Denver are on the rise. To reinforce Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock’s call to action, let’s all do our part to stay home more, avoid gathering in groups, wash our hands thoroughly and often, practice social distancing, and continue to wear masks or face coverings in public. Remember to complete the COVID check health screening before you arrive at any building on our campus locations to ensure we are compliant with the current public health orders.
If the numbers continue to rise, we might be forced to take a step back, which may mean a reduction in capacity in restaurants and retail businesses, and at our CCD locations as well.
I am grateful every day for your continued resilience and flexibility in the face of immense challenges. I ask that we please continue to support one another and take care of ourselves, too.
