Anschutz Foundation Scholarship Grant Inspires New Gifts to CCD Foundation
The Anschutz Foundation has again awarded the CCD Foundation, through the Colorado Community College System Foundation, a $20,000 grant for scholarships. The CCD Foundation is required to match this grant with new donations, thereby doubling the impact of these dollars, and helping twice as many students achieve a brighter future. Newest Nineteen Sixty-Seven Legacy Society member
The CCD Foundation wishes to thank Dr. Margaret Rust for leaving a legacy by including the CCD Foundation in her estate plan. This bequest will establish the Dr. Margaret Rust Women’s Diversity Scholarship providing scholarships to first-generation, female students of color. Dr. Rust has also committed to funding this scholarship beginning in Fall 2021, with a 5-year pledge of $12,500. We are excited to identify candidates for this life-changing opportunity. CCD receives additional grant funding from the State of Colorado
The Colorado Department of Higher Education recently announced a $325,000 grant in scholarship support to CCD students for the 2021-2022 academic year. The grant will support Coloradans displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic, including those laid off or furloughed, experienced decreased earnings, had job offers rescinded, or could not enter the workforce because of adverse economic conditions.
