About the New Model
As an active part of your success team, the relationship you have with your academic advisor is critical to helping you choose the right major or program to align with your educational and career goals. All programs and majors are organized into seven advising pathways, each with their own advising “experts.” Find your Advising Pathway to learn more.
Here’s what you need to know!
- All students have been assigned an academic advisor in a pathway, according to their declared program/major.
- Check DegreeWorks on CCD Connect to see who your assigned advisor is.
- If you are unsure who your academic advisor is or are uncertain about your pathway, contact the Academic Advising & Student Success Center, located in Confluence Building, room 123 or call 303.556.2481.
- Some continuing students may have been reassigned to a new academic advisor; be sure to double check just in case!
Why make the change?
As part of our Strategic Plan, the College set out to “re-envision internal relationships to maximize college assets and provide an environment for excellence.” We are excited about moving forward together in partnership with our campus community to deliver excellent advising services within our centralized, one-student, one-advisor framework.
An email was sent out this week through your CCD student email with more information about the Advising Pathways. Regular communication will be coming from your assigned academic advisor about important dates, continued enrollment, and graduation planning. So when we contact you, please give us a callback.
