CCD employees go "All in Together" to support students!

September brought the return of faculty and staff to the Community College of Denver and our first college-wide employee giving campaign. The 4-day event included food, fun, games, and the celebration of giving.

Thanks to our wonderful and dedicated faculty and staff, employee contributors increased by 33%! New gifts and pledges will provide $6,000+ for new scholarships for our students.

Thanks to our generous sponsor, Credit Union of Denver, lunch and a program was provided on all three campuses.

Just in time for your holiday shopping!

CCD graphic design students in the service-learning course, DZGN Studio, created an adult coloring book to sell, with the proceeds going to scholarships for students in the Art Department. Each page in “Relax, It’s a Coloring Book!” can be mailed as a postcard, shared, framed or simply treasured by the artist in your family.

This unique creation was wildly popular during the employee giving campaign in September, and supplies are still available. Fifty percent of every $20 purchase goes to scholarships. You can order yours here.  Shipping is free, but supplies are limited. Order yours today!

Gene Haas Foundation supports machining students at CCD!

In October, the Gene Haas Foundation (GHF) awarded $12,000 to the Community College of Denver Foundation. GHF’s primary goal is to build skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships and certifications for CNC machine technology students at CCD’s Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC). Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, and small personal tools that are required by the program.

Gene Haas founded Haas Automation in 1983. It grew to become of the largest machine tool manufacturers in the world. In 1999, he founded the Gene Haas Foundation to support students entering the field of machining. Thank you Gene Haas Foundation!
